Plum Blossom Festival

I don’t have a lot of time this morning to post this, so pictures will have to suffice!  It was really a beautiful day on Saturday, despite the rain!  It was much warmer than it has been, and we were grateful!  The location is 紫金山, Zĭjīnshān.  This area is 250 square acres and it will take us years to explore it completely!

Hi, I don’t think I’ve ever commented before – although maybe I have and forgot; I have a 4 month old and feel like I’m just starting to recover some of my brain power. 🙂 Anyway, I can’t remember how I first heard of your blog. I came over from another blog that linked to yours, I think. Nearly 11 years ago (wow, time flies!), my husband and I went on a study abroad through BYU to Nanjing so I have been loving your posts that take me back to that time and place. I showed my kids this post because I have very fond memories of hiking around Purple Mountain. My kids absolutely loved the video of the man making the dragon candy.

I love the similarities between our families – we both homeschool, we are both learning Chinese (although we’re not making very fast progress with that living in a very urban city in the eastern US), and we both have four kids (I have one son and 3 daughters and my oldest is 7 so I’m still in the phase of having really little ones).

Sorry for such a long comment, but I’ve been meaning to comment for a long time and rarely have my hands free (even now the baby is asleep in a baby carrier on me :). Thanks for sharing and helping us connect to China through your blog! We hope to live there one day again.
