The Palace Museum and Acrobats!
I’m in a rush to publish this because our driver is going to be here in a few minutes to take us to the Great Wall. (This is the first day we have had an actual driver! We hired Mr. Fu again!) I want to note, that as I’m typing, I’m sitting next to a big picture window and watching school children do their daily drills in the school yard! What a thrill for my kids to see this!
Yesterday we visited The Forbidden City The Palace Museum. We are surprise at how to seems smaller and smaller each time we visit and we made it through in record time! I do not know when they changed the name, but if it was before our 2006 trip I was too tired to notice! ;o) Anyway, the girls loved running around free and getting some exercise in the beautiful sunshine! (I told you we bring good weather every where we go!) Hot Pot was on the menu again, and though it was good, it didn’t measure up to the Sichuan style in Chengdu! I’m still craving it’s hot yumminess! Lunch made us tired and we headed back to our apartment (we’re staying at the Marriott Executive Apartments) and took a long nap before heading back out to see the National Acrobats at the Tiandi Theater. This show exceeded everything we have ever seen and it keep Pie absolutely mesmerized!
