Today is another day of picture taking! The kids are so darn cute, but they are all starting to run together and I can’t keep their names straight! Today we have done 15 and have 15 more to go. We are taking a break for lunch and everyone is upstairs eating, except for me and Star. (As I update this, we are completely finished!)
Star never got out of bed today. She hasn’t moved other than to take a dose of ginger. She has not thrown up or coughed, but she does have a fever. I’m trying to let her sleep it off, and hopefully she’ll feel better tomorrow.
I also just learned that Da’s VISA is stuck in the mess that is “hell froze over” in Washington D.C. We mailed it the Friday before I left and it is sitting in Virginia waiting for the roads to clear. There is a chance that it could be delivered to him by next Saturday, one day before he is scheduled to go to Montreal but the address it is being delivered to does not accept packages on Saturday. I am trying not to stress about it, but I am concerned that this will mess up his travel dates for both trips! Right now we are trying to make sure that the VISA is expedited, but we shall have to wait and see how it works out!
This afternoon we took a short taxi trip to the Police station. Apparently, if you are not staying in a hotel, you should register at the Police station. When we arrived, there was a short discussion about the card that Tracey was given at the airport and then we were told to come back after the Chinese New Year….”like around the 22nd or 23rd.” (Chinese New Year is on the 14th.) I’m guessing that means that it (a) doesn’t matter or (b) that the person who was at the station today doesn’t care if we register or not. Most likely A. Since Amanda has never done this and since I was not told about it at the airport (I heard about it from Tracey) I have decided I will probably not bother.
Here are some more photos from the past few days! I am falling hard for a couple of boys (MaLin and Anthony), but know that our adopting days are over. At least I can add them to my prayers!
