Brisbane

Da is in Brisbane for work.  He is seeing the inside of an office building for most of the day, but this weekend was able to attend the Brisbane LDS Temple.  He sent me the following post about the rest of the weekend:

On Saturday I went with three colleagues to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary in Brisbane. They have thriving population of 130 koalas. It was interesting to see how they have organized them into several groups: the kindergarten, the retirement home, the mothers, the bachelors, etc. I wish the girls could have been there – especially the place where you can hold a koala.

Although the San Diego Zoo has an excellent quality and range of animals and exhibits – including its own koala exhibit – the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary is by far a more impressive collection of koalas. They also have a large enclosure of several acres which you enter to see and pet the kangaroos.

When we take the whole family to Brisbane, this place will be at the top of our list of sites to see.
