A Few Things…

We are headed home today and do not have a ton of time to post!  I am adding the photos to the gallery from our FAVORITE restuarant in San Francisco!  I have to include a shout-out to our favorite server, Hailey!  She is so sweet to the girls and really made their day every time we came in!  (Hailey: Please, stay in touch and some day we’ll write you letters in Chinese!)

Utopia (on Waverly in China Town) has the BEST pot stickers I have ever tasted! We also LOVED the roast duck, which is something we did not like in China!  Every time we went in the girls ordered the Shrimp Won ton Noodles, the pot stickers and the roast duck.  We’ve branched out and ordered fish (seen in another post) and assorted greens, but those first three items are the staple!

In other news, I have ordered the material for the girls quilts.  We love love love the Attitude Girls fabric and will probably order it for another project but, below is the fabric the girls finally settled on for the quilts for the new beds.   Now we are now revisiting the color of the bunk beds but I am still leaning heavily towards the flat black.  Oh, decorating is SO HARD for me!!

In other news, I have entered another contest to win this quilt (the light pink and green one) and I have to post about it to get another 5 entries:

See the beautiful quilts above? Marie-Madeline Studios is giving one of them away! Head on over there to enter for your chance to win. The happy scrap quilt giveaway ends Dec. 13th.

Here are the photos of our family enjoying the most authentic Chinese food we have found State-side!

These photos were taken with my daughter’s Canon PowerShot SD1200IS 10 MP Digital Camera , inside without a flash.

I really want a round table with a lazy susan in the middle. Some day I will have one. In my kingdom it will be a rule that all families must have them so that dinner time spawns conversation and togetherness. Cute girls!

The fabric looks so nice. Come show me your quilts, when you finish them. BTW-flat black shows fingerprints that children are so prone to spread, but it is so pretty. Black goes with everything. I too am decorator challenged, so I feel your pain.

I love that green and pink quilt! I’m not a decorator either and I’m just resigned to it. Hope you got home ok.
